When writing this year in review, we did not want to repeat what has rightfully been said so many times before. Without ignoring that 2020 has been a ‘weird or for so many even a shock year’ we did want to use this opportunity to thank our clients, partners and industry friends for the trust they have put in us in 2020. We are truly humbled by our experiences to be able to globally support more recruiters and candidates on the Cammio platform than ever before.
Along with lockdowns came a steep global increase in the interest in remote hiring that translated directly in the usage of our video recruitment platform. The number of interviews held via our platform skyrocketed overnight. Overall, we saw a 74% growth in interviews (both live and automated) via our platform taking place in 124 countries around the globe. We welcomed 325 new customers and built or intensified many partnerships in 2020.
There has been one other major event that impacted our daily professional lives. Since May we are rocking the world of recruitment as part of the StepStone Group and have over 3.500 new colleagues to work with us to further accelerate growth and innovation of our platform. With StepStone, we have introduced video interview functionality to all StepStone customers globally to support them in their needs to go remote with their hiring. And as we have entered 2021, we have many more plans to power e-recruiting with video… stay tuned!
We retreated from our offices in The Hague and Düsseldorf to our home offices where we could continue to work supporting our customers and their candidates without interruption. In fact, lots of business could continue and even accelerate. We had 9 wonderful new colleagues (Louis, Waleria, Franzi, Timo, Celina, Krisz, Joukje, Veerle and Jeremiah) join our team, continued our dedication to product innovation with 26 new product releases and even got the chance to get together safely with the entire team twice this summer!
Of course, not everything has stayed the habitual same for us. We introduced a new tradition this year: the nine-o-clock virtual coffee meeting, in which we catch up on all the conversations that aren’t strictly essential but very much missed, when there is no hanging around the coffee machine or making lunch at the office together. So far, we’ve had 201 coffee meetings and there will surely be many more. PS: Of course, we’ve also mastered the skill of having virtual drinks like pros by now. ?
We are so grateful to work with such amazing colleagues for such amazing brands helping them find true talent (remotely) with video. This gives us great pleasure to start in a New Year where the world has many positives to look forward to.
