Maastricht / The Hague, December 3rd, 2020, Maastricht University (UM) and Cammio, the video recruitment experts, have joined forces in order to offer new graduates of their PREMIUM honours programme for Master students, the opportunity to record their own automated video interview at the end of the academic year. This will equip the fresh alumni with an effective resource in their upcoming job hunt, allowing them to apply with personality and potential.
Video interviews have become the norm in 2020, however, not every employer has the right tool in place to offer applicants a fair, fun and GDPR-proof video application process. The automated interview format will guide the graduates through a set of questions, set-up by UM’s and Cammio’s experts and can be included as a video cv link in the application. Fabienne Crombach, Honours Coordinator at Maastricht University, explains: “Entering today’s job market can be tough, the structured interview format will help our graduates presenting themselves in a distinctive and professional manner.” Rogier Happel, Business Development & Alliances Manager at Cammio, agrees and adds that “many of our corporate clients already use the automated interview as a pre-screening stage in their graduate recruitment process. Because this demographic usually does not have much professional experience, most of the CVS’s are quite alike. The video interview enables recruiters to select on other, more important criteria, such as competencies, soft skills and cultural fit.”
Apart from the student interviews, Cammio’s technology will be used by a group of professional organisations, for pitching a project to UM’s honours master’s students. This is usually done during an annual, physical event, where organisations such as Arcadis and the Province of Limburg intent to attract the university’s highest potentials to help them on these challenging projects. The pandemic doesn’t allow this year’s edition to happen, but the cooperation between UM and Cammio ensures that the students are still being reached and engaged.
